Prateek Grover MD PhD MHA is a board-certified physiatrist-scientist. He is currently an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, PM&R Vice Chair of Quality and Safety, PM&R Director of Resident Research, and Co-director of Health systems Science for Graduate Medical Education at Penn State Health and College of Medicine. His vision is to contribute to rehabilitation equity, effectiveness, and efficiency through synergistic clinical care, teaching, research, program and educational resource development, and transformational leadership. His expertise lies in limb loss and preservation rehabilitation in academic and non-academic health systems, in rehabilitation systems science domains of dissemination & implementation, quality improvement, and curriculum development, and in musculoskeletal biomechanics using motion analysis and finite element techniques.
Ongoing work includes limb loss rehabilitation care, provider and patient education curriculum design and dissemination, care-continuum modeling and implementation, and biomechanics-inclusive prosthetic rehabilitation protocols development. Volunteer work includes chairing the Limb Care Networking Group at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and service on the Orthotic and Prosthetic Research Programmatic Panel, Department of Defense CDMRP, on the Social Determinants of Health Committee, Quality, Policy, Practice and Research Committee, and Amputee/ Limb loss Restoration Rehabilitation Community at American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and on the Scientific and Medical Advisory Committee for the Amputee Coalition.
