Dr. Huang earned his bachelor's degree in physical therapy in 2005 and a master's degree in rehabilitation science in 2007 from Chang Gung University in Taiwan. In 2015, he obtained his doctorate from the Division of Physical Therapy Education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He received his postdoctoral training during 2016-2018 in the Institute for Rehabilitation Science and Engineering at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska
Dr. Huang is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Science, and Athletic Training at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he teaches Research in Evidence-Based Physical Therapy Practice in the Physical Therapy Doctoral Degree program. He also teaches Research Seminar and Scientific Grant Writing Course, and serves as a research faculty mentor in the Rehabilitation Science doctoral program.
Active in research projects, Dr. Huang is a core scientist at KU's Mobility Consortium and an affiliate faculty of the KU's Diabetes Institute, and the Human Performance Laboratory at the Landon Center on Aging.
