Jessica McWhorter, PhD

Rehabilitation Neuropsychologist

Dr. McWhorter is a rehabilitation neuropsychologist at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She obtained a master of arts degree in psychology and education from the Columbia University, Teachers College in New York City. She obtained a master of science and doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a focus in health psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed an internship in clinical psychology at the Denver VA Medical Center, where her focus was on neuropsychology and rehabilitation. Dr. McWhorter continued her training as a post-doctoral fellow with the Johns Hopkins rehabilitation psychology and neuropsychology fellowship.
Jessica Wolfman McWhorter, Ph.D., A.B.P.P., is a board-certified rehabilitation neuropsychologist specializing in working with people with neurological conditions, such as traumatic brain injury and stroke. She offers neuropsychological assessment and interventions to adults, including the use of mindfulness-based approaches, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as other treatments to help facilitate functioning and life participation by maximizing compensation and coping.

Before joining Johns Hopkins, Dr. McWhorter served as the director of the rehabilitation neuropsychology service at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.

Dr. McWhorter is also active in teaching rehabilitation neuropsychology and related disciplines. She enjoys mentoring pre and post-doctoral fellows as well as providing education to the community at large.
