Dr. Butler was born and raised in rural New Jersey and had a passion for healthcare from an early age. She earned her Master of Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2010 and worked in acute rehabilitation, acute care, and skilled nursing settings. She served as an Army Occupational Therapist on Active Duty for about 6 years, during which time she earned a Doctor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Baylor University (2015) and worked extensively in behavioral health and outpatient orthopedic settings. After her Army service, Dr. Butler continues to work closely with military populations and started a business providing manual occupational therapy services to military servicemembers and their families. This business provides a highly needed service to this population to aid in preventing and recovering from injuries and educating the public on safe and effective physical activity and athletic recovery. Recently, she also began working alongside the Army in thier Holistic Health and Fitness program, where she provides mental and sleep readiness education and skills to infantry basic trainees and drill sergeants. In 2021, Dr. Butler earned a Master in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland to continue growing her skillset for operating businesses and clinics.
