Nicole Karabas is a recent graduate of Rush University where she earned her Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. Her clinical experience has been in outpatient rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute care settings working with patients of all ages. Through these experiences, she has gained a passion for working with and supporting older adults. For her doctoral capstone experience, she gained advanced clinical knowledge in the emerging field of primary care. Her doctoral project focused on the use of the Age Friendly Healthcare Systems 4Ms Framework within the occupational therapy process. Her other areas of interest include physical rehabilitation, holistic practices, health promotion, disease prevention, and progressive cognitive disabilities.
