Jeffrey Wertheimer, Ph.D., ABPP-CN, FACRM is a board-certified Clinical Neuropsychologist and Chief of Psychology and Neuropsychology Services and Associate Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the California Rehabilitation Institute. He is also the Director of Training for the Neuropsychology Division. Dr. Wertheimer assists with and often leads clinical research endeavors, inter- and intra-departmental and multi-center research projects, monitors clinical outcomes and quality projects, provides research oversight within the Department of PM&R. He is active in leadership roles in many national and international organizations including, but not limited to, the American Congress of Rehabilitative Medicine (i.e., Co-Chair of the Behavioral Health Networking Group), The Parkinson Alliance (Chief Research Consultant and Vice President), Kandu Health Imperative Care, Inc. (a tech-enabled stroke navigation program during the acute and subacute phase of recovery; Clinical Advisor, Educator, and Researcher), Parkinson Community Los Angeles (Medical Advisor), and The Center for Integrated Research in Cancer and Lifestyle at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Steering Committee Member). His clinical interests include integration of assistive technology and tech-based assessment and intervention in clinical care, neuropsychological and psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and behavioral management. Regarding research, Dr. Wertheimer is engaged in several grant-funded clinical research activities and lectures nationally and internationally. His clinical and research interests include cognitive and functional outcomes in individuals who have sustained traumatic and acquired brain injury, psychological adjustment and resilience with chronic illness for survivors and care partners, movement disorders (the assessment of the cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms of Parkinson’s disease; pharmacological efficacy), and inter-professional collaboration.
