Sandhya Yadav, PhD is a health economist at Hinge Health Inc. She has over 5 years of research expertise in applying econometric techniques to address questions in financing and delivery of health care services. Her recent work includes designing and conducting claims-based cost studies to examine the impact of digital MSK care programs on health care utilization and cost. She is a dental surgeon with a master’s in healthcare administration and a Ph.D. in Public Health and more than 10 years of professional work experience with government organizations, non-profits and corporates on healthcare related projects. She had an impressive academic track record during her Ph.D. and has been the recipient of multiple awards (Grinter Fellowship Award, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 and Outstanding Achievement Award, 2019 and 2021) in recognition of her exceptional academic credentials. Sandhya served as the Vice-President, Academy Health Student Chapter (2018-2019) and the student representative to the Public Health and Health Professions Research Committee (2021-2022). She was also featured in the American Dental Association’s newsletter for her impressive work on smoking-cessation advice and resulting quitting behaviors.
