Amanda Saylor, OTR/L, CNS, CBIS is the Lead Occupational Therapist for AdventHealth Sports Med & Rehab's 11 outpatient neurological rehabilitation clinics across central Florida. Amanda has worked in the outpatient setting treating patients with neurological conditions for nearly 7 years; her greatest passion and expertise is facilitating recovery of the hemiplegic upper extremity post-stroke and teaching others to do so. Amanda has spearheaded the implementation of Vivistim Vagal Nerve Stimulation Paired Rehab within AdventHealth and has personally worked with 8 of the 11 patients seen thus far. Amanda is the co-founder of The Neuro OTs, found on Instagram at @neuro_OTs, with the aim of educating and inspiring fellow therapists on evidence-based and engaging interventions to maximize functional outcomes. Amanda has also guest-lectured on neurological rehab topics at universities, participated in educational webinars, and has been featured in several articles covering neurological treatment techniques. When not reading up on the latest research for post-stroke recovery, Amanda enjoys spending time in the pool or using her annual pass at Disney World with her husband and two young boys.
