Elissa Larkin Conlon, M.S., CCC-SLP is a Research Speech-Language Pathologist in the Center for Aphasia Research and Treatment at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, Illinois. Elissa has been privileged to work with people with communication disorders in a variety of settings. The majority of her experience has been in subacute inpatient rehabilitation working with adults with acquired neurological impairments. Elissa joined the Center for Aphasia Research and Treatment team in 2015, and has contributed to research studies and community programming dedicated to maximizing treatment outcomes and meaningful life participation opportunities for people with aphasia. Elissa is also passionate about finding ways to empower clinicians with knowledge and skills to contribute to improved communication access for all patients in their healthcare experiences.
