Assistant Professor
Indiana University South Bend
I have nearly 15 years of clinical practice experience with adults and children. As a rehabilitation team member at a Level II trauma center, my responsibilities primarily focused on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating adult patients following stroke, multi-trauma, or other neurological conditions. I earned the Certified Brain Injury Specialist designation and completed the specialized training to conduct clinical, videofluoroscopic, and fiberoptic endoscopic swallowing evaluations. In this role, I developed interdisciplinary educational sessions and served on the Memorial Hospital “e*Crew” for exceptional employees in 2013, developing brain health initiatives for Beacon Health System employees. In my current role, I serve as an Assistant Professor of Speech-Language Pathology in the Vera Z. Dwyer College of Health Sciences at Indiana University South Bend. My current research and clinical work is focused on cognitive-communication rehabilitation of individuals with cancer-related cognitive impairment.
