Julia Drattell received her undergraduate degree in athletic training from the University of Delaware, followed by a masters in kinesiology from the University of Virginia. She worked as an athletic trainer in the college and hospital administration settings in New York City for 12 years prior to returning to school for her PhD at the University of Georgia. She is now a doctoral research assistant in the UGA Concussion Research Lab and her primary research interest is implementation of concussion education and policy to reduce psychosocial barriers to seeking care after a concussion.
