Henry G. “Rardy” Spratt, PhD in Microbiology. Professor of Biology, Geology, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he been since 1994. Courses taught include senior- and graduate-level microbiology, immunology, and microbial ecology. Research interests have ranged from soil microbial processes in wetlands to current studies of microbial contamination of surfaces in healthcare clinics. He is the author or editor of 3 books, has published over 25 scientific articles, and given (with his students) over 120 presentations at scientific conferences.
