April Hodge is a practicing physical therapist. She graduated from the University of Utah with her doctorate in physical therapy in 2005. In 2011, April became certified as a Neurology Specialist. Her passion is vestibular rehab. Since 2010, she has served on the Vestibular Rehab Special Interest Group of the American Physical Therapy Association as The Communication Coordinator. She also served on the Vestibular Rehab SIG’s Online Education Committee and completed an interactive on-line course for the APTA’s Neuro Synapse related to vestibular diagnosis and treatment. She also organizes and leads the vestibular technology lab for Georgia State University. In 2014, she co-created a Neurology Special Interest Group for the Georgia APTA where she served from 2014 to 2021 as the vice chair and then chair. Over the years, April has lectured on topics from community-based fall prevention to vestibular disorders to client centered goal setting. April currently works for the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia at the Complex Concussion Clinic. There April serves on a multidisciplinary team, which treats clients with acute and subacute concussions. Her goal is to assist in returning these individuals to their communities by providing a holistic approach to pain and vestibular impairment.
