Dr. Michael Zitney, MD is a physician with over 30 years of experience in chronic pain management. He has graduated from the University of Toronto and is presently the Medical Director at the Meditech Rehabilitation Center. He was previously the Director of the Headache & Pain Relief Centre in Toronto and is a member of the Natural Pain Relief Centers Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Zitney was also the Chief of the Long Term Care Unit, York Central Hospital where he was in charge of patient rehabilitation and set policies regarding pain control and recovery from injuries and surgery. He has had numerous speaking engagements relating to migraines and chronic pain as well as publications related to Photobiomodulation Therapy and it’s benefits. His most recent publication dated for October 26, 2022 was written to showcase the use of Photobiomodulation in neuropathic pain and improvement of scar tissue. In addition, Dr. Zitney has participated in numerous scientific studies; Study No. 518/400-An open-label study to evaluate the quality of life, efficacy and safety of 20 mg sumatriptan nasal spray in the acute treatment of migraine; 1999.
