Courtney Celian is the Projects Manager in the Robotics Lab at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago with over 5 years of experience as an occupational therapist in the Brain Innovation Center at SRALab. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University Department of Health and Rehab Sciences with a masters in occupational therapy. Courtney’s research focuses on developing novel rehabilitation technology into real-world rehabilitation settings. Additionally, she has published research on the use of rehabilitation technology in clinical uptake. Courtney’s work centers on the continued collaboration between researchers, engineers, occupational and physical therapists to incorporate innovative technology into rehabilitation to exemplify the translational research approach.
