Danbi Lee, PhD, OTD, OTR/L, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Yonsei University in South Korea, a doctorate in occupational therapy (OTD) degree and a PhD in Disability Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Health Services and Outcomes Research at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Lee's research primarily focuses on evaluating self-management interventions for people with stroke with an emphasis on community participation outcomes. She also conducts health equity research evaluating the impact of ableism on healthcare experiences and healthcare education and was involved in a study examining critical research needs for promoting successful aging in place.
