Dr. Naveen Elangovan is a Researcher in Movement Neuroscience at the University of Minnesota. His areas of professional interest include movement neuroscience, neurological rehabilitation, biomechanics, and medical device development. More specifically, he is interested in understanding and improving human somatosensory function and motor performance by developing rehabilitation devices and tools to aid sensory training and increase objectivity in clinical evaluation methods. He is currently conducting market research to develop a business model for a startup idea that focuses on developing a capital asset rehabilitation technology. He leads a team of researchers and engineers at the University of Minnesota that designs and develops a novel virtual reality-based physical rehabilitation technology.
