Denise Fyffe, PhD (Co-Investigator) is a Senior Research Scientist in the Centers for SCI and Outcomes & Assessment Research at Kessler Foundation. Dr. Fyffe utilizes mixed methods to conduct health disparities research about the rehabilitation and quality of life outcomes of underserved groups. She has published >30 peer-reviewed manuscripts that focus on social determinants of health, including sociocultural and behavioral factors associated with functional disparities among people living with SCI using the SCIMS database. She is PI and Co-I on multiple grants working with veterans living with SCI and the development of the Kessler Foundation National Employment and Disability Survey for Veterans. She is site PI on the SCI Quality of Life Measurement System, a NIDILRR-funded project. Dr. Fyffe serves as Chair for the Spinal Cord Injury Special Interest Group of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
