Lauren Murphy, PhD, is a Research Scientist in the Center for Outcomes and Assessment Research at Kessler Foundation and a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Murphy is a medical sociologist and her research focuses on the social determinants of health and disability for people living with chronic mobility disabilities. She has been Principal Investigator on projects funded by the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation and NIDILRR. Dr. Murphy received her PhD in Sociology from Rutgers University in 2019 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in spinal cord injury research at Kessler Foundation in 2022.
