Director of Professional Practice

The Principle Investigator (PI) is Stephanie Barendt, Certified Nurse Executive, Old Dominion University, Doctor of Nursing Practice graduate. For the past 6 years, she has worked as the Clinical Director of Nursing for a level 1, trauma center in Phoenix, Arizona. As a nurse manager, she was responsible to lead, direct and oversee over 80 employees and the quality of patient care for a 35-bed trauma medical/surgical unit. In her current role she is the Program Director of Professional Practice at City of Hope Phoenix. She is an active and current Board of Directors for the Arizona Organization for Nurse Leaders (AZONL).
