MD MAHAFUZUR RAHAMAN KHAN is a graduate Ph.D. student in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM). He has completed a master’s in engineering at UWM. He has been working as a research assistant at the Bio-Robotics lab at UWM since January 2021. Currently, he is working as a teaching assistant at UWM. He received BSc. Engg. in Electrical & Electronics from Stamford University, Bangladesh in 2019. His research focuses on digital twins, augmented reality, mixed reality systems, and robotic rehabilitation and assistance for people with disabilities. He is an applied researcher in mechanical engineering who studies robot-assisted rehabilitation, advanced control, and telerehabilitation systems. His research is unique in the area since it immediately contributes to the quality-of-life enhancement of people with limb impairments and helps them regain independence faster through robotics.
