Katherine is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Rehabilitation Science Doctoral Program with a concentration in Neuromuscular Plasticity at the University of Florida. Her doctoral work focuses on the predictors of persisting symptoms after concussion, with an emphasis on fear-based psychological constructs and autonomic nervous system dysfunction after mild traumatic brain injury. Additionally, Katherine is pursuing a graduate certificate in Implementation Science with the Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics at the UF College of Medicine. In addition to her role as a doctoral student, Katherine has served as a research coordinator for the Musculoskeletal Research Program at Brooks Rehabilitation and has been a member of the Brooks and College of Public Health and Health Professions Collaboration since 2019. Katherine is also a teaching assistant in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida for the doctoral-level course Evidence-Based Practice. Her doctoral training, role with the Brooks Clinical Research Center, and teaching responsibilities are under the mentorship of Dr. Jason Beneciuk.
