Prof Joyce Mothabeng is the Physiotherapy Head of the Department at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She has supervised PhD and MSc students. She has taken part in various leadership roles including the South African Society of Physiotherapy and was also involved with the World Confederation of Physical Therapy Africa. She continues to mentor physiotherapists in leadership and rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injuries.
