Nytzia E. Licona, DrPH, MPH, CCTDM is a Research Program Analyst & Epidemiologist at the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center at the Palo Alto VA Health Care System (VAPAHCS). She completed her Doctor of Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has a Master of Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. She obtained her Clinical Trials Design and Management Training & Certificate at the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension Silicon Valley. Ms. Licona’s expertise is in epidemiological and clinical study design and management, data analysis, mixed-method research, statistical methods, and surveillance. She has extensive experience working with large data sets, manuscript preparation and institutional review board regulations. Her research interests are related to functional and cognitive outcomes of traumatic brain injury patients and rehabilitation. She is a Research Committee Member of the Polytrauma System of Care at VAPAHCS, and Program Leader for the Summer Intern Research Program at VAPAHCS.
