Rajan Batth is an undergraduate student at the University of California Los Angeles majoring in Physiological Sciences with the goal of a career in the medical field as a Physician. Under the direction of Dr. Steven Cramer and Dr. Brittany Young, he has participated in research focused on Neurological rehabilitation in a few different forms. One being how technology such as Tele-rehabilitation can greatly improve motor function after a chronic disease, and the second, analyzing and collecting proprioceptive data that targets new forms of recovery for patients with stroke. Rajan is originally from the San Joaquin Valley, located in Central California, where he hopes to one day return and practice medicine in hospitals that lack resources/funding and to serve a population that is vastly medically unaware. Furthermore, he is interested in continuing his journey in research specifically in the area of preventative health/medicine, a topic that he believes will lead the citizens of Tulare County and the rest of the Central Valley to improved health outcomes.
