Caitlin Jones, PT, DPT, NCS, CMTPT/DN graduated from Emory University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. She began her clinical practice working at Shepherd Center in inpatient Spinal Cord Injury rehabilitation, as well as in the Acquired Brain Injury unit. In 2015, Caitlin began working with the pediatric neurological population at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) in the Day Rehabilitation program. She became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy in 2017 and a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist in Dry Needling in 2022. At Children’s, Caitlin led the Spinal Cord Injury committee for the rehabilitation department for 5 years, is actively involved in the PT Practice Council, and serves as a faculty member for the PT Residency Program. She initiated and led the implementation of dry needling as a new modality in the pediatric neurological population, as well as has developed new programs within the rehabilitation department, including the Spinal Cord Injury School Re-entry Program and SPINE (Specialized Progression of Independence and Wellness for Adolescents with a Spinal Cord Injury). She has taught continuing education courses for Advanced Wheelchair Skills and Basic Mobility Skills for Spinal Cord Injury and frequently serves as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students. Caitlin has a specific passion for working with patients with spinal cord injuries and serves to maximize their independence through unique clinical interventions and programs, robotic and advanced technology, and current evidence-based practice.
