Dr. Bullock is a graduate of Emory University with 8 years of clinical experience at a nonprofit institution before her appointment as the Assistant Director of Clinical Education (ADCE) and Assistant Professor in our DPT program. Dr. Bullock is the co-founder of the National Association of Black Physical Therapists. NABPT is a nonprofit organization that supports the provision of culturally competent healthcare services in vulnerable communities. NABPT’s mission is to provide opportunities for increased visibility, networking, community service, advocacy, career development, and mentorship for Black physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. This grassroots organization was built to promote creativity and stand as a buffer in support of its members in implementing change in their workplace and community.
Dr. Bullock is now also serving in the role of ADCE and continuing the work in DEIB spaces in PT education promoting equitable practices in clinical education and the classroom. Dr. Bullock plans to further her work at Emory via mentorship from her colleagues to research ways to improve equitable physical therapy practices.
