Caitlin Orton, MPH is the Research Coordinator for the Northwest Regional Burn Model System within the UW Medicine Regional Burn Center. Her research is centered around understanding and improving burn survivors' experience of recovery and rehabilitation. In her current role of Co-Chair of the BMS Knowledge Translation Committee, she is focused on improving access and utilization of burn-related education resources for vulnerable populations. This is also supported through her work with people experiencing homelessness where she is collaborating with community partners and people with lived experience to prevent burn and cold injuries and increase their engagement with rehabilitation services after injury.
