Justin O’Rourke, Ph.D., ABPP-CN earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He also earned a PhD in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. He completed a Doctoral Internship in Neuropsychology at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System in San Antonio, Texas, and a specialty Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and the Oklahoma City Veteran’s Medical Center. He has worked as the neuropsychologist for the newest of five specialty traumatic brain injury (TBI) hospitals in the VA hospital system where he also trained postdoctoral fellows in neuropsychology. He is now a Site Primary Investigator and Project Director for the Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems (TBIMS) study at the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center in San Antonio. Dr. O’Rourke also operates a private neuropsychology practice in San Antonio that provides clinical evaluations, forensic services, and regular assessments for professional athletes.
