Specifically, with respect to new product development, company building & technology commercialization, in MedTech here are some of the key highlights:

• At IRegained, spearheaded the development of an innovative medical technology for neuro rehabilitation and took it from concept to commercialization with $4 M in funding raised.
• Supported and mentored 30+ Start-ups at Canada’s largest incubator, MaRS, helping with fundraising and product commercialization. Created commercialization programs, through a shared risk-shared reward model & blended financing.
• Created a company Cohesys Inc. for commercialization of on a novel bioresorbable, biocompatible, flexible bone-tape device for cranio-maxilofacial fracture fixation and helped raise investment
• Managed Zimmer’s orthopedic-spine product portfolio and turned it around from declining sales to generating 8% growth in sales within one year and over 30% growth in the next 2 years through strategic targeting of competitive customers, launching and marketing high potential products and optimizing inventory deployment. Built a detailed business plan to triple the portfolio to $8 M in 5 years
• Successfully Launched Zimmer’s Large Bone Power System in the $ 40 M Canadian market to capture 3% market share in the first year
