David Key is the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operations at Select Medical Corporation, where he provides leadership to the care and business management functions supporting 131 hospitals in 38 states that make up the Select Medical’s Specialty Hospital Division.

Mr. Key has used his 20+ years of experience in the post-acute healthcare industry, as well as various corporate leadership roles, to lead the development of dashboards that monitor Key Performance Indicators and provide real-time tools and resources to support front-line operations.

Mr. Key leads a team currently focused on opportunities for research and innovations related to transitions of care and recently drove the development of a new integrated workflow platform that encompasses the entire patient cycle from pre-admit to post-care ingraining best practices and workflow efficiencies to ensure appropriate and medically recurring care plan progression, as well as safe transitions of care. He has integrated the company’s focus on the patient, family, physician and employee into these initiatives to ensure the best and safest outcomes.

Mr. Key received his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University.

Mr. Key has been a featured speaker at Select Medical’s Annual Conference, as well as the company sponsored CEO MD conferences for its Acute Rehabilitation and Critical Illness Recovery Hospital Divisions.
