Dr. Nicole DiPiro is an Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina. She has a broad background in applied exercise physiology, and health and rehabilitation sciences, with expertise in SCI rehabilitation research. As an investigator on multiple active grants, she has focused on hospital utilization, opioid use, longevity/mortality, aging, and employment after SCI. Her research centers on examining and mitigating the impairments, limitations, and restrictions observed after SCI, and studying the predictors and consequences of adverse health conditions and outcomes. She has authored or co-authored 47 publications and has made over 20 presentations at national and international conferences.
