Mari Tobita, M.D. is an attending physician at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, who served for the Post-COVID-19 Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Team during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021. She graduated from Tokushima University, School of Medicine in Japan, and worked as an assistant professor at Neurology Department, Yokohama City University, and Division of Disability Science, Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine in Japan. After she moved to the United States, she received residency training in neurology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. For fellowship training, she trained in neurorehabilitation at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the University of Pennsylvania, and a clinical fellowship in the Human Cortical Physiology Section, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. She also works with the TBI Interest Group at Rancho clinically, educationally and in research.
