Lew Lim, PhD

Dr Lew Lim is recognized as one of the major influencers in the field of photobiomodulation (PBM), particularly in its use for brain health. He leads the team at Vielight that emphasizes the importance of evidence and ground-breaking research.
His team recently completed a randomized clinical trial (RCT) on acute COVID-19 which is under consideration for clearance by regulatory agencies. A post-COVID RCT is in preparation currently. Among the research projects undertaken by his team include ongoing RCTs in traumatic brain injury (TBI), depression and dementia. The team is also investigating new mechanisms of PBM that could lead to better personalization of treatment with brain PBM therapy.
Dr. Lew Lim is a doctor of natural medicine, neuroscientist, and engineer with credentials in other disciplines. He obtained his degrees and diplomas from the University of California at Berkeley, University of Sheffield, Duke University, Quantum University and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK, and other institutions.
