Claire Spech is a Neurologic Physical Therapist at Atrium Health, Carolinas Rehabilitation. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Ohio State University in 2022. She has spent the past year treating patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, degenerative neurologic diseases, and those with vestibular diagnoses across the continuum of care including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient neurologic rehabilitation. She now works on the brain injury team at Carolinas Rehabilitation Inpatient Rehab facility. She has a background in research in human biomechanics, and has enjoyed translating her knowledge of research and sports kinematics and applying it to patients with neurologic diagnoses. Her clinical interests include management of complex traumatic brain injury, treatment of vestibular impairments related to traumatic neurologic insults, and optimizing motor learning and motor control through therapeutic interventions.
