I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Washington School of Medicine. I am both a researcher and an attending rehabiliation psychologist at Harborview Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center and safety net hospital. My research focuses on the biopsychosocial and clinical factors that impact the treatment and management of chronic illnesses, including chronic pain, TBI, and SCI. In addition to my scholarly work, I also provide direct clinical care for patients across the continuum of care, from ICU to outpatient rehabilitation. As an integrated member of clinical treatment teams, I aim to implement current evidence-based interventions for patients with TBI and also intervene with medical providers and health care systems to improve the delivery of care.
