Dr. Kletzel is a clinical neuroscientist who studies Parkinson's Disease. Her research focus is on neurorehabilitation that maximizes functional outcomes for people living with Parkinson’s disease (PD). She has specific interest in advancing non-pharmacological and non-invasive approaches. To date her VA training has focused primarily on cognitive rehabilitation in PD. She is currently the PI of an ongoing VA RR&D CDA Level-2 (CDA-2), the purpose of which is to examine if repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) will safely improve cognitive function in Veterans with PD and mild cognitive impairment.
