Dr. Christián E. Lema Carrión graduated in 2004 from the Faculty of Medicine of the University Institute of Health Sciences (Fundación Barceló). He specialized in Psychiatry at the University of Buenos Aires and completed his training at the Braulio A. Moyano Neuropsychiatric Hospital where he completed the Concurrency. He completed a master's degree in Clinical Neuropsychopharmacology (Fundación Barceló) whose final thesis topic was Treatment for Smoking Cessation. He continued his training with the higher course of Applied Neuroanatomy and Neuroimaging (Argentine Neuropsychiatry Association). He is currently a professor of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires in the subjects of Mental Health I (Medical Psychology) and Mental Health II (Psychosemiology and Psychiatry). He has also worked since 2014 as Coordinator of the Post-traumatic Stress Course taught at the Moyano Hospital. He has participated in several congresses of the Argentine Association of Psychiatry and the Association of Argentine Psychiatrists, speaking on topics related to Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). At FLENI since 2010, he works in the Department of Psychiatry in outpatient clinics, hospitalization, and is in charge of conducting ECT sessions (an area of interest in which he is currently researching).
