I am an assistant professor of internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Alabama - Birmingham, where I have worked since completing my med-peds residency in 2019. I am an outpatient internal medicine physician, work at Children's of Alabama in the general pediatrics inpatient setting, and teach medical students. Along with Dr. Carlie Stein Somerville and Dr. Marie Pfarr, I work in a transitions clinic for medically complex young adults, which is both a consultative clinic and a primary care medical home for young adults with medical complexity. In 2021 I took on the role of medical director at the Hugh Kaul Precision Medicine institute. There, I am part of an amazing team, adding my clinical experience to the team's search for novel therapeutic strategies for rare genetic disease.
