Tsan-Hon M. Liou, Liou, MD, PhD

Dr. Liou is a Full Professor of the School of Medicine, College of Medicine, Taipei Medical University. He is also the Associate Dean of Shuang Ho Hospital, Taipei Medical University. His background includes rehabilitation, disability/ICF. He received his medical doctor degree from Taipei Medical University and Doctorate degree from National Yang-Ming University. He was a post-doctoral research fellow at the Institute of Human Nutrition, College of Physicians & Surgeons, Columbia University, USA in 2004~2005. In addition, he is a member of certified board and Council of rehabilitation in Taiwan. He has been in charge of implementation of a new disability evaluation system based on the ICF in Taiwan since 2007. Dr. Liou’s research interest is in the area of physical disability and the ICF, assessment of human physical activity and energy expenditure, and epidemiologic study of disability.
