As the Dean of the College of Biomedical Engineering at Taipei Medical University (2022-), Prof. Kang promotes a team-approach cross-disciplinary manner in teaching, clinical service, and research for excellence. Dr. Kang obtained his medical degree and Ph.D. degree after graduation from the School of Medicine and Institute of Biomedical Engineering at National Taiwan University (1991-1988 & 2008-2011). He received rehabilitation residency training at National Taiwan University Hospital (2000-2003). Dr. Kang was a visiting staff at Taipei Medical University Hospital (2003~) and a Professor at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Graduate Institute of Nanomedicine and Medical Engineering at Taipei Medical University. Dr. Kang’s Research Laboratory of Translational Neuroscience focuses on the biomarkers of fibromyalgia and chronic pain, the mechanism of complex pathophysiological changes in these patients, and the applications of AI in rehabilitation patient management. He has published more than 100 scientific papers in relevant fields.
