Dagmar Amtmann, PhD is a Research Professor at the University of Washington (UW), Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She is a health outcomes researcher with training in statistics and measurement. She is Principal Investigator of the National Data and Statistical Center for NIDILRR funded Burn Model System that tracks and examines health outcomes after burn injury and for the DOD funded PROPOLIS, a prospective randomized multicenter clinical trial that evaluates pathogen-reduced plasma for the resuscitation of patients with shock secondary to extensive burns. During the past 20 years, she has been involved in a number of federally funded projects. Her roles varied from leading the projects to providing statistical support for qualitative and quantitative research and using modern psychometric methods to develop item banks.
