Center for Limb Loss and Mobility, VA Puget Sound Health Care System, United States
Alison W. Henderson, PhD, has her doctorate in clinical psychology, and has worked as a research scientist at VA Puget Sound in the Center for Limb Loss and MoBility for over a decade. Dr. Henderson has helped oversee the development of three clinical decision-making tools, from qualitative formative evaluations through usability evaluations and efficacy testing. Her current focus is on implementation science, focusing her efforts to ensure that the clinical tools are used by the right people, in the right setting at the right time. Successful implementation of the AMPREDICT Decision Support Tool and AMPDECIDE Patient Decision Aids will increase the likelihood that amputation level shared decision making can and will occur, thus improving outcomes for patients and providers alike.
