Dr. Elaine Magat is an assistant professor in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). She received her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. After completing 2 residency trainings in this specialty - one in the Philippines, the second in the United States - she also completed a Brain Injury and Spasticity fellowship thereafter, with Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She currently serves as an Attending Physician at TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital, as well as the Co-Medical Director of the hospital’s Outpatient Medical Clinics. Her interest and research focus on post stroke impairments.
