I am a board-certified vascular neurologist with 9 years of independent clinical experience and research training through the Harvard Catalyst Program for Primary Investigators, a master’s degree from the UBC, and a Ph.D. from RMPA. The goal of my research program is to improve diagnosis, treatment, and recovery after ischemic stroke. From my training in medical school, residency, and fellowship, I learned modern approaches to stroke care and clearly understand all needs of stroke patients and the importance of recovery. I serve as Medical Director of OU Medical Center’s Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC), a designation of the Joint Commission, American Heart Association, and American Stroke Association. In addition, I serve as a principal investigator of the NIH-sponsored network for multicenter stroke clinical trials (StrokeNet) and lead several investigator-initiated projects.
