Dr. Alexander Vaughan is the founder and director of orofaical pain at Virginia Total Sleep, located in Richmond Virginia and a fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain
Dr. Vaughan completed both his dental education as well his residency in orofacial pain and oral medicine at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California, however he began his journey in pain management while serving on Active Duty in the United States Army. While stationed at Fort Bragg he had the privilege to serve his fellow Soldiers as a general dentist. It was here that he was first introduced to pain management through the integrative pain management clinic at Womack Army Medical Center.
Following his retirement from the Army, Dr. Vaughan and his family moved to Richmond Virginia where he founded Virginia Total Sleep; a private practice devoted to management of chronic orofacial pain as well as sleep apnea.
