Karen Moody MD, MS. Dr. Moody is the Director of Pediatric Supportive Oncology and Section Chief of Pediatric Palliative, Rehabilitative, and Integrative Medicine at M D Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Moody graduated from Columbia University with her BA in Biology/Psychology and from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center with her MD. She completed her Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship training at New York University Hospital & Medical Center, and simultaneously completed a Clinical Epidemiology & Health Services Research Fellowship and a Master of Science at Weill Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Cornell University. She holds Board Certifications in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Moody develops and tests interventions to improve the symptom experience of children with cancer. She has recently obtained funding from the NCI (3P30CA 016672) to assess access of childhood cancer survivors to rehabilitation therapy.
