Clinical Assistant Professor, Occupational Therapy

Susan Lee is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Georgia State University. Her work, informed by training in occupational therapy and industrial design, focuses on the design of supportive, technology-enabled environments to increase activity participation and societal inclusion of older adults and individuals with disabilities in the home and community. She is also interested in understanding how to better support occupational therapists and designers to become more effective co-design partners in the development of assistive technology solutions, particularly by applying new and emerging technologies. She earned her MS in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, and PhD in Industrial Design from Georgia Institute of Technology. She is involved in local and national occupational therapy professional organizations, and has served on volunteer committees of the American Occupational Therapy Home and Community Health Special Interest Section as Technology Coordinator.
