Alice Sau Han Kam, MD, MScCH (HPTE), FRCPC (she/her/hers)

Dr. Alice S. H. Kam is a Clinician Teacher, Department of Medicine, Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Toronto (U of T). She completed her MD at the University of Manitoba and her residency at University of Toronto. To further develop her expertise in medical education, she obtained her Master of Science in Community Health (Health Practitioner Teacher Education) at the University of Toronto in December 2021, following her completion of the Master Teacher Certificate, U of T, in 2018. In May 2022, she completed Vernissage Health- A Health Leaders Dialogue Series, Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto.

Dr. Kam has a strong interest in medical education curriculum development and implementation. To deepen her understanding of curriculum development, she initially completed a physiatry residents’ perception study on blended learning and received the Canadian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (CAPMR) first place education abstract award in 2020. Following her blended learning research study, she is currently leading a concussion educational scholarship on an innovative competency based curriculum. In recognition of her exceptional contribution to this scholarship, Dr. Kam has received the IHPME Student Leadership Award.
