Joann Villegas is a Clinical Informatics Lead within the Rehabilitation and Performance Department at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), New York, NY. She leads the translation of clinical workflows to IT and IT capabilities to the clinical staff. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing Informatics from New York University and Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University. She has a broad range of experience working in critical care nursing, clinical informatics, and system implementations. Prior to joining HSS, she served as an information technology analyst for an enterprise healthcare system. She is Board Certified in Nursing Informatics with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
